Love of Christ

As I held her in my arms closing our
Eyes to sleep I heard the sounds of a little girl
Weeping
I held her closer to me in a dark room in the
Bottom bunk of an orphanage as the future
Circled around in my
Head
I placed my hand on her cheek as tears
Ran through my fingers, “Mija” she said,
“I love you”. “I love you too” I said cradling her
Closer to my chest
And my heart crumbled into
The hands of Christ.
Ephesians 3:17-19
17so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

On Your Journey Home

On your journey home will there be
Spring flowers that bloom
Or leaves in the fall that dance in the wind
As the October sun hovers about waiting for the light
Of the moon
Will the seasons be of change when we drive
Over the line
Will it be the purest of all days when we
Leave that world behind
On your journey home

Rejoice in the LORD and be glad, you righteous; sing, all you who are upright in heart!

Will the day be windy or calm
And at rest
Will there be snowflakes that
Overwhelm your eyes with a chill and
A smile at best
Will there be silence or laughter that
Will embrace the air
Will the world stop turning for just a
Moment for God’s amazing grace to share

You ask me in Genesis 3:9
I am here
My baby crawls on my lap
My son tugs on my shirt
My husband kisses my forehead
Will you meet me here?
A Working mother
With Childhood illnesses
Activities and school
I long to be a servant too
Will you meet me here?
The eyes of the Lord range throughout
The earth to strengthen those whose hearts
Are fully committed to him! 2 chronicles 16:9
I want more of you
I will seek to find it
4:30 am with my eyes half open
I long to be your sanctuary
Will you meet me here?
“Where are you?”
you ask in Genesis 3:9
I am here
from a family of
Those who don’t believe
The challenges it brings is
Without measure
Will you meet me here?
For their salvation
Rise up in me the cross (I thank you)
My all and all … my treasure
For where your treasure is, there will
Be your heart also – Matthew 6:21
The kids are in bed
I am wrapped in my husbands arms
Half a sleep I break free to
Meet you
Will you take me as I am?
Tired and run down
My leftovers are at your feet again
But will you meet me here my friend?
I am down on my knees
Will you meet me here?
Choose for yourselves this day
Whom you will serve
As for me and my household we
Will serve the Lord – Joshua 24:15
